I think what you typed made a bunch of sense. But, think on this, what if you added a little information? I am not suggesting your content isn't solid., but what if you added something that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You ought to look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create post headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to grab people interested about what you've got to say.
