Why Does Malegra 200 Have Fewer Sexual Side Effects Compared To Hormone Therapy?
Malegra 200 contains sildenafil citrate, a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction by improving blood flow to the penis. It works locally on blood vessels and enzymes involved in erections, which is why it generally has fewer sexual side effects compared to hormone therapy.
Malegra 200 mg acts by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). This increases levels of cyclic GMP, allowing blood vessels in the penis to relax during sexual stimulation. Importantly, this mechanism does not alter hormone levels such as testosterone, estrogen, or other reproductive hormones. Because it targets circulation rather than hormones, its effects are more specific and temporary.
In contrast, hormone therapy directly changes the body’s hormonal balance. Altering hormones can affect many systems at once, often leading to sexual side effects such as reduced libido, mood changes, fertility issues, or changes in sexual development and desire. These effects may persist as long as hormone levels are altered.
Additionally, Malegra 200 is taken only when needed, while hormone therapy is often long-term, increasing the chance of systemic side effects.
In summary, Malegra 200 has fewer sexual side effects because it improves erectile function without interfering with the body’s natural hormonal balance, making its action more targeted and reversible.
