Does Malegra DXT affect vision?

Malegra DXT is a combination medication that typically contains sildenafil (for erectile dysfunction) and duloxetine (often used for premature ejaculation and certain mood disorders). Sildenafil is the same active ingredient found in Viagra, and it can affect vision in some men. These visual effects happen because sildenafil slightly influences an enzyme in the retina (PDE-6), which plays a role in color and light perception. Possible vision-related side effects: Blurred vision Increased light sensitivity Blue-tinted vision (cyanopsia) Difficulty distinguishing blue and green colors Mild visual haze These effects are usually temporary and mild, resolving as the drug leaves the body. However, in rare cases, more serious vision problems can occur, Malegra DXT as sudden vision loss due to a condition called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). This is uncommon but requires immediate medical attention. Duloxetine is less commonly associated with visual disturbances but may occasionally cause blurred vision or pupil dilation. The risk of vision side effects may increase with higher doses, underlying eye conditions, heart disease, diabetes, or uncontrolled blood pressure. If you experience sudden vision changes, severe eye pain, or persistent visual problems, stop taking the medication and seek medical care immediately.
