Does Fildena Super Active Cause Prolonged Erection Pain?

Fildena Super Active is a fast-acting form of sildenafil used to treat erectile dysfunction. While it is generally effective and well tolerated, one of the rare but serious side effects associated with this medication is a prolonged and sometimes painful erection, medically known as Priapism.

Priapism occurs when an erection lasts longer than four hours and is not related to ongoing sexual stimulation. This condition can cause significant discomfort or pain and, if left untreated, may lead to permanent damage to penile tissue. Although the risk is low, it is higher in individuals who take higher-than-recommended doses, combine the drug with other erectile dysfunction medications, or have underlying conditions such as blood disorders.

Most users of Fildena Super Active do not experience this side effect. Common reactions are usually mild, including headache, flushing, or nasal congestion. However, any erection that persists beyond a normal duration or becomes painful should be treated as a medical emergency.

To reduce risk, the medication should always be taken exactly as prescribed, and users should avoid mixing it with alcohol or contraindicated drugs. If symptoms of priapism occur, immediate medical attention is essential to prevent complications.
