Why Do Some Men Experience Nausea After Taking Filitra?
Filitra contains vardenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction. While generally well tolerated, some men experience nausea after taking it, and this can happen for several reasons.
One common cause is the drug’s effect on blood vessels. Filitra relaxes and widens blood vessels to improve blood flow, but this can also lower blood pressure slightly. In some individuals, this drop can lead to dizziness and a feeling of nausea, especially if taken on an empty stomach or combined with alcohol.
Another factor is gastrointestinal sensitivity. Vardenafil can mildly irritate the stomach lining or alter digestion, leading to symptoms like nausea or discomfort. Taking the medication with a light meal may help reduce this effect, although very heavy or fatty meals might delay its absorption.
Nausea can also occur due to interactions with other medications or underlying health conditions, such as acid reflux or cardiovascular issues. Dehydration and anxiety about performance may further contribute to the sensation.
In most cases, nausea is mild and temporary. However, if it becomes persistent or severe, it is important to consult a healthcare provider. Adjusting the dose or switching medications may help improve tolerance and overall comfort.
