For entrepreneurship students & future business owners: how could AI video tools help Sri Lankan startups?
Hello everyone — I’m part of the Crevid AI team, a platform that helps people create professional videos from just text or images (no filming or editing required). I see that this department focuses on Entrepreneurship and Management, so I’d love to hear your thoughts as future business leaders in Sri Lanka. Imagine you’ve just started a small business — maybe a tea export company, a local handicraft brand, or a food delivery service. You need to: Create a short pitch video for potential investors Make social media ads (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram) to attract customers Produce a simple tutorial or FAQ video for your staff or customers But you have no budget for a video crew, no acting skills, and very little time. My questions to you: Do you see video as an important tool for startups here? Why or why not? What’s the biggest barrier for a small business in Sri Lanka to create good video content? (Cost? Skills? Internet speed? Equipment?) If an AI tool could generate a decent 30-second product video from just a few photos and a sentence, would that be useful for your future business or a startup you know? I’m not here to sell anything — just to learn from real entrepreneurship students. Any honest answer is welcome. Thank you! https://crevid.ai/
