single bet calculator

So — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I'd say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I'm based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I'm coming from. How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an each way payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I'd eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet. The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — type in stake and odds and you get returns with no faffing, either odds format. There's also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, and that's where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it's here kelly formula calculator — free, no signup. One thing that actually shifted things for me is the geekier bits. The odds-to-probability thing which shows you the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too for when I'm covering two or three runners. Couple of gripes. The interface feels pretty plain — no flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable but the bigger tables are a squeeze. There's no proper app, it's a website and that's it — fine by me but worth saying. Right, that's me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me plenty of "wait, that's it?" moments.
