single bet calculator
Right — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I'd say something since a mate asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like. How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet. Their single bet calculator tool is the part I'm on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that's where I'd always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it's over at kelly criterion bet calculator and it's free with no account nonsense. The thing that really changed how I bet were the nerdier tools. The odds-to-probability converter that shows how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I'm splitting a race. Couple of gripes. The interface looks very functional, let's say — no flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works although the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there's nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn't bother me just flagging it. Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted.
