single bet calculator

Right — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I'm in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context. The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn't ever get my head round what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt. The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. There's also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where I'd always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at calculate a betting accumulator and it's free with no account nonsense. The thing that genuinely shifted things for me is the nerdier bits. There's an odds-to-probability calculator that shows what margin's baked in, and there's the kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I'm spreading across selections. Couple of gripes. The layout is pretty plain — no frills, it's clearly function over form. On mobile it's usable though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there's nothing on the app store, it's browser only — fine by me but worth saying. Anyway. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If you still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
