single bet calculator
Right — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I'm in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like. What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an each way payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I'd just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles. Their single bet calculator is the one I'm on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at no vig fair odds calculator and there's no login wall, which I appreciated. The thing that really changed how I bet were the geekier tools. They've got an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin's baked in, and a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent if I'm splitting a race. It's not perfect mind. Its interface feels very functional, let's say — no frills, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There's no app, it's a website and that's it — fine by me but you asked. So yeah. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
