single bet calculator

So — been on this thing for maybe five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context. How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt. The single bet calculator is the one I'm on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that's where I'd always mess it up. The thing that actually changed how I bet is the geekier extras. They've got an odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, and a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is decent for when I'm splitting a race. It's not perfect mind. The layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. On my phone it's fine although the bigger tables are a squeeze. There's nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but you asked. Anyway. Doesn't cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it's saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
