Creative ways to use large fixed windows in modern homes?

We are designing an open-concept living room expansion and want to bring in maximum natural daylight. Since we already have patio doors for airflow, we're considering non-opening glass panels. What are some smart ways to use them in a modern layout?

Floor-to-ceiling glass looks incredible in open-concept spaces. We added a large picture frame panel looking out into our backyard garden last summer and it completely transformed the entire living room atmosphere.
